A role describes the hiring need. Creating its draft gives you something to review; Open recruiting makes the role available for a recruiting conversation. Neither action approves outreach or publishes a job posting.
Before you start
Use the correct workspace and prepare the known role facts: title, responsibilities, requirements, location, and employment terms. Mark unknowns explicitly. Your plan must have an available open-role place to open recruiting. To import existing LinkedIn jobs, you also need the intended connected LinkedIn account.
Import an existing LinkedIn role
If the job already exists on your connected LinkedIn account:
- Open Roles and select Import LinkedIn roles. This starts synchronization and refreshes the connected account.
- Follow the synchronization progress in Updates. A started synchronization is not confirmation that every job was imported.
- Check the Roles list for the imported job, read its details and source status, then select Open recruiting when it is available and you are ready.
Importing reads existing jobs; it does not publish a new LinkedIn job posting. If the role is source-managed, edit the original job in its source and synchronize again.
Create a draft with Speiros
- Open Roles and select Create a role. You can also choose Create a role from the Start recruiting dialogue.
- In the Recruiting context conversation, describe the role or ask for an empty draft. You can supply a public job-posting URL as a reference.
- Ask Speiros to keep confirmed facts separate from points to verify. For example: “Create a draft for a backend engineer in Paris. The role requires PostgreSQL experience; compensation is not confirmed yet.”
- Open Roles and find the new role under Draft.
- For a manually managed draft, select Edit draft, review Role title and Role details, then Save draft. An Untitled role needs a title before recruiting can open.
- Select Open recruiting. Confirm that the role now appears as Open.
Check the result
The open role is available in Start recruiting → Choose a role. Its details page also offers Start recruiting, keeping the new conversation attached to that role.
Publishing a context section and opening a role are separate decisions. A role brief can be ready while its role is still Draft.
If opening is blocked
If synchronization cannot start, inspect the connected account in Settings → Sender. If synchronization started but the page could not refresh, reload Roles and check Updates before starting it again.
Check the displayed role capacity. If all places are in use, close a role whose work is finished or review your account. A role managed by a hiring system must be edited there and synchronized; Edit draft is for manually managed drafts. A source job that is closed or unavailable cannot be treated as an open recruiting opportunity.
Continue with search for candidates or manage a role.
