Context and roles

Follow a role and its recruiting work

Use role states and mission history to keep each hiring need organized.

Use Roles to see which hiring needs are open and to find the recruiting missions attached to each one. A role's state is separate from the state of any mission.

Before you start

You need an existing role in your current workspace. To add one, follow define and open a role.

Review the role

  1. Open Roles. Roles are grouped into Open, Draft, and Closed.
  2. Select a role title or View role & Missions.
  3. Read its details and Source link, if present. A source-managed role may also show its LinkedIn source status.
  4. Under Missions, use Active and Archived to find its associated work. Open a mission to inspect its current progress and decisions.
  5. For an Open role, select Start recruiting to begin another conversation attached to the same hiring need.

Close or reopen recruiting

When the role no longer needs recruiting, return to Roles, select Close role, and review the confirmation. Closing frees an open-role place while preserving the role and its sourcing history.

If Speiros reports active recruiting work, inspect the role's missions and finish the relevant work before closing. Do not use role closure as an emergency stop for an action already in progress.

To recruit for the role again, select Open recruiting on its Closed entry, subject to available capacity and the source job's availability. Verify the state is Open before starting a new conversation.

Keep changes in the right place

Manual drafts offer Edit draft. A role marked Synced from your hiring system is owned by its source: edit it there and synchronize. For jobs on your connected LinkedIn account, select Import LinkedIn roles in Roles to import current jobs and refresh their source status. Follow progress in Updates, then verify the role and its LinkedIn status. The synchronization also refreshes the connected account; it is more than a local page reload.

Check company or process changes separately in Recruiting context.

If the role or missions fail to load, refresh the page. If the source job is unavailable, synchronize its source status before trying to reopen it. A source job that remains closed or unavailable cannot be opened for recruiting just by retrying.

If Import LinkedIn roles reports that synchronization could not start, check the connected account in Settings. If it started but the page could not refresh, reload Roles and inspect Updates before starting another synchronization.

Continue with search for candidates or supervise a mission.
